Supporting Five Forward with Chicago United
We are proud to announce that Wynndalco is now a Five Forward Committed Corporation with Chicago United! Chicago United first introduced its Five Forward 20/20 initiative in September of 2015. This expansion was designed to strengthen the local economy and enhance job creation by supporting a stronger Chicagoland Minority Business Enterprise (MBE). The advocacy organization is aiming to increase participation of Chicago- based corporations and local minority firms. We are honored to be a part of this organization!
See what Chicago United had to say about our addition in their Quarterly Highlights:
“Wynndalco Enterprises is now a Five Forward Committed Corporation (CC). This designation marks a new chapter for the engineering and technology firm, which has been a selected Minority Business Enterprise (MBE) in Five Forward since 2016. Chicago United staff responded to Wynndalco’s request to elevate its status with a site visit and a meeting with company founder and CEO, David Andalcio, and other company executives. “
Chicago United’s visit gave Andalcio an opportunity to share his experience in partnering with other minority businesses, and showcase his company’s new campus in Mokena, IL.
Wynndalco is a certified MBE and DBE with offices in Illinois, Colorado, Florida, New York and Texas. The new facility provides ample room for warehousing and the processing of orders. Wynndalco uses proprietary software and dedicated crews to fulfill orders to specification. A fleet of new branded vehicles line the back parking lot, whenever they are not in use.
“This building was once a dance club,” explained Andalcio as he pointed out various departments housed in the loft- styled facility. “The City of Mokena welcomed our proposal to acquire the property and viewed the acquisition as a win for both the city and our company. We have brought new jobs and revenues to Mokena,” added Andalcio.
Growing demand for Wynndalco’s engineering services in Illinois and elsewhere prompted Andalcio and his team to begin the search for a new facility. “I am pleased with the synergy that is emerging between our engineering and technology team,” said Andalcio. “Increasingly, we see opportunities for technology to support the work we do in engineering.” Since January, Andalcio has brought on two seasoned engineers.
Chicago United is delighted to see member MBE’s growing in capacity through partnerships with other MBE’s. Wynndalco is the fourth MBE- CC combination in the current Five Forward cohort. The company joins Ariel Investments, KDM Engineering and SDI Presence.”
