Building upon decades of technology expertise as an early adopter, business leader, industry innovator, and community influencer, David keeps an eye on both past and future while running Wynndalco—a rapidly expanding MBE/DBE/SBE/BEP company with employees dispatched globally. Main responsibilities include leveraging this foundation and leading well to empower key clients and support strategic growth initiatives and innovation…all while never losing sight of the opportunities ahead.
David was instrumental in creating Wynndalco’s Technology Inventory Management Software (TIMS), a warehouse and CRM database with vast asset management, delivery, and disposition capabilities. Highly structured and visionary, he anticipates the changing IT landscape, measures current trends carefully, raises the bar on industry best practices, and strengthens Wynndalco’s offerings to best meet the needs of a varied clientele.
Career accomplishments include:
- Developing technology services for major corporations and city/state governments, as well as becoming a principal provider of system integration services to Chicago Public Schools, Dallas Independent School Districts, and others
- Implementing the protocol for warehousing, configuring, distributing, and installing all radio communication systems for the Pace suburban busing system
- Leading the Illinois Tollway Authority through a $6.3 billion capital improvement program, “Open Roads for a Faster Future”
- Executing the application/recovery protocol for millions of dollars of essential technology funds from the federal E-Rate Program, benefiting the entire Puerto Rico school system
David attended University of Chicago Booth School of Business, Graduated AMP, Stanford University Alumni Graduate Executive Program, Notre Dame Corporate Governance Program, and University of Illinois Entrepreneurial Studies. A native of Trinidad and Tobago, David’s roots are firmly planted in the Hispanic community; he’s been recognized by numerous publications and organizations including the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, Ernst and Young, Hispanic Business, Minority Entrepreneur, and Inc. Magazine for strengthening minority business participation. He serves on several boards for the College of DuPage Foundation, Choose DuPage, the Regional Transportation Authority, and DuPage County Emergency Telephone System, and is a proud member of the Illinois Hispanic Chamber of Commerce (former Chairman), Chicago United, and Rotary Club of Chicago. Further, he’s a former board member of HACIA and co-founder and executive member of the Latino Leadership Council.
He’s been honored with myriad awards such as Latino Entrepreneur of the Year, Latino Leaders Maestro Innovation Award, and Chicago United Business Leaders of Color, and lives to encourage the success of others in the community, giving as much back there as to the businesses he serves.
